Its official, a violent sex offender from Milwaukee County will not be coming to Fond du Lac County. At a hearing Wednesday a Milwaukee County Circuit judge ordered that Clint Rhymes would not be placed in a town of Eldorado home . On Monday the state Department of Health Services said they were withdrawing their supervised released plan after the Eldorado town board passed an ordinance that the township would not accept sex offenders from outside Fond du Lac County. The judge ordered Milwaukee and DHS officials look at placing Rhymes in Milwaukee County. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney was in the courtoom for the hearing. Toney says the judge acknowledged receipt of dozens of letters from town of Eldorado residents voicing their opposition to Rhymes being placed in their community. “They really responded and made sure their voice was heard,” Toney told WFDL news. “That’s a huge credit to the folks in Eldorado. I think they’re the ones that really made the difference.” Toney says Rhymes’ attorney did not oppose DHS withdrawing its planned placement in Fond du Lac County.
