todayJanuary 15, 2016

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democrat Russ Feingold has raised another $2.7 million in Wisconsin’s highly watched U.S. Senate race against incumbent Republican Sen. Ron Johnson.  Feingold reported Thursday that he raised that much in the last three months of 2015, besting the previous quarter by $300,000. Feingold’s campaign says he has $4.8 million in the bank.  Johnson has yet to file his latest report, which is due at the end of the month. Johnson had $3.5 million cash on hand at the end of September.  Feingold officially launched his campaign in May. He is seeking to defeat Johnson in a rematch of the 2010 election where the Oshkosh Republican knocked off Feingold. The Democrat had been in office 18 years before losing to Johnson, a political newcomer.
