The director of the Fond du Lac Downtown Partnership says she hopes a new study will provide greater detail about what people want to see downtown. Executive director, Amy Hansen, says the partnership is currently working on the initial phases of a new market analysis. “We will be surveying the residents of downtown, the workforce of the whole community, and we will be talking to all of the downtown business owners,” Hansen told WFDL news. Hansen says the analysis will examine more closely data that already shows for example a need for a downtown grocery store and more restaurants or food offerings. As part of the analysis the public is being asked to participate in a downtown survey. The survey link is at: http://downtownfdl.com/dfp/surveys_stats.html. The market analysis comes as the Fond du Lac city council discusses forming a downtown vision team to examine what residents want their downtown to look like in the future.
