3-15-16 fdl county clerk says new voting machines worked well during primary election

The Fond du Lac County Clerk says overall she was pleased with how a new voting system worked during the primary election.  Lisa Freiberg says 14 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in last month’s primary election using the new equipment.  Freiberg says the only problem occurred when  clerks at  six polling places had trouble with the modems and had to go to another location with more signal  strength to modem In the results.  “There’s just not enough (signal) strength in those areas,’  Freiberg told WFDL news.   Freiberg says officials are confident that problem will be corrected before the April election.
