3-17-16 fdl school district summer school program

Information regarding the 2016 Fond du Lac Summer School program offerings will be available April 4 on the District website (fonddulac.k12.wi.us) under “Parents > Summer School.” The link on the website will take you to the brochure and online registration form. If you are unable to sign up online, brochures and registration forms will also be available in any school building or at the Administration Building, 72 W. 9th Street.  Note: The registration deadline is Friday, April 29.  The Summer School program runs Monday, June 13 through Friday, July 1 with enrichment classes being held Monday through Friday mornings at various schools. Times are 8:00-11:30 a.m. with many classes offered twice during that timeframe. Math and reading remedial classes (with teacher recommendation) are held at Chegwin, Evans and Riverside at the same times.  Forms for these recommended classes have already been sent home with students. There will be a shuttle bus available from Parkside to Evans with the pickup time at 7:25 a.m. and return time after lunch at 12:00 p.m.  Free breakfast and lunch are offered to anyone under age 18 at all of the participating elementary schools. Most middle school and high school enrichment classes are held at Fond du Lac High School from 8:00-11:40 a.m.  See brochure for the various offerings at these grade levels. A shuttle bus is available to pick up and drop off at these locations and times: Sabish, pick up 7:10 a.m./drop off 12:20 p.m.; Theisen, pick up 7:20 a.m./drop off 12:10 p.m.; Woodworth pick up 7:30 a.m./drop off 12:00 p.m.  Please contact your child’s teacher for information on signing up for remedial or make-up classes at the high school.  Some school libraries will offer open hours and activities during the summer.  More information will be sent home with parents in the near future.
