A Fond du Lac area woman is in custody following an incident at the Agnesian HealthCare Health Shoppe on Camelot Drive. Shortly after 3pm Thursday police received a call of a despondent woman at the Center possibly armed with a gun. Several squad cars responded and police quickly took the woman into custody without further incident. Nobody was injured.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
