MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says he would back Donald Trump as the Republican presidential nominee, even though he endorsed Ted Cruz. Walker tells reporters that he will back whoever is the nominee, even if it’s Trump. Before he endorsed Cruz earlier this month, Walker had pledged to support whoever is the nominee.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
