Political observers say Donald Trump is putting Wisconsin Republican politicians in a very uncomfortable position of deciding whether to support the candidate they worked so hard to defeat in last month’s primary election. Some Republican leaders have said its time to rally behind Trump while others say there is no way they will vote for him. Wispolitics.com editor J.R. Ross says Trump has the highest negative rating in polls of any presidential candidate ever…and Democrat Hilary Clinton also has high negative numbers. “The almost apocolypse is coming from some of the conservatives and Republicans I’ve talked to,” Ross told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. “There’s almost a stage of grief if you will.”

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
