todayMay 10, 2016

The Dodge County Sheriff says he is continuing his investigation into the proposed placement of two high risk sex offenders at a rural Lomira home.  On Friday, Dodge County Circuit judges, Brian Pfitzinger and Joseph Sciascia gave conditional approval to place sex offenders Jonathon Miller and Robert Larson Jr. at a residence on Highway 67 in the town of Lomira,  pending a final report from Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt.  “We’ve spoke with a number of residents in that area and we’re still working on speaking with a couple more,”  Schmidt told WFDL news.  “I’m not going to release that (report) prior to it going to the court.”   Efforts to place Miller and Larson at a town of Lowell residence earlier this year and town of Leroy residence last summer were unsuccessful.   The court will hold a hearing May 17th to consider final approval for the Lomira location.
