Fond du Lac county law enforcement officials collectged 2,275 pounds of no longer needed prescriptions and over the counter medications collected and disposed of during the Spring Cleaning Drug Drop collection. That’s a 29 percent increase over last year. The Fond du Lac Drug Drop Box has moved into the Police Department lobby at 126 N. Main Street. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am –4:00 pm.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
