A Fond du Lac man has been bound over for trial for reckless homicide in the heroin overdose death of a Fond du Lac woman. Forty one year old Joshua Asencio is being held in the Fond du lac County Jail on $100,000 cash bond. Asencio is accused of supplying the heroin that led to the overdose death of a 33 year old Fond du Lac woman at a Berger Parkway apartment last November.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
