WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — A judge in Waukesha County has ordered jurors be sequestered during the trials of two teens accused of stabbing a classmate to impress a fictitious character called Slender Man.
Fifteen-year-olds Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier are charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the 2014 attack on Payton Leutner in Waukesha.
Weier’s trial is in September and Geyser’s is in October.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
