The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a rollover crash that injured three out of state men. The crash happened early Sunday morning on County Highway R near Highway SC. Two men from Colorado and one from Minneapolis were injured. “They were in the Watertown area apparently working in a carnival,” Sheriff Dale Schmidt told WFDL news. Schmidt says an investigation into the cause of the crash continues. “We do believe there is possibly some drug use involved in this, that’s still under investigation.” Investigators also say speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
