Work on renovating the tennis courts at Fond du Lac High School is done. The Fond du Lac School Board toured the new courts during a workshop session Monday evening. Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says new drainage around the courts should help significantly. “Essentially what was happening was water was getting underneath, it would freeze in the winter, push up, so we had an unlevel playing surface,” Sebert told WFDL news. “In addition to some cracks we had areas where the fencing was pushing out of the ground as well as the posts that hold the nets.” Sebert says he is confident the renovation work will correct the problem. Meanwhile, work to replace the high school gym floor is almost completed. The school board voted to replace the gym floor at a cost of $350,000, after spending thousands of dollars over the years to repair damaged hardwood slats.
