MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Changes to a $3 billion incentive plan for electronics giant Foxconn Technology Group, a potential new $100 fee for electric vehicle owners and tax cuts that could benefit Wisconsin businesses are all teed up for consideration as the Legislature’s budget committee hopes to complete work on the two-year spending plan this week. The Joint Finance Committee was scheduled to meet on Tuesday, with the goal of finally ending a stalemate that’s delayed passage of the budget for two months.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
