An arrest warrant has been issued after a Menasha man charged in connection with an armed robbery in Ripon failed to appear in court last week. Eighteen year old Tristan Van Eperen is charged with party to the crime of armed robbery and receiving stolen property. According to the criminal complaint on July 22 Van Eperen and another man robbed a Ripon man at gunpoint using a stolen CO2 pistol. Police say the robbery was drug-related.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
