Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is scheduled to make a stop in Fond du Lac Tuesday as part of a statewide tour to formally announce his re-election campaign. The governor and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch are scheduled to make a stop at Brenner Tank. Chairman of the Republican Party of Fond du Lac County, Rohn Bishop, says his biggest concern about the 2018 election is that Republicans get out and vote. “Wisconsin Republicans have to get out and knock on the doors and volunteer and turn out the voters,” Bishop told WFDL news. The governor officially launched his re-election campaign Sunday.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
