A Fond du lac woman is going to prison for dealing heroin. Keana Cousin was sentenced to 13 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision for conspiracy to deliver heroin. Cousin was one of 11 people arrested following an investigation by Fond du lac police, Sheriff’s Office, Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group Drug Unit and the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation. Investigators say Cousin was responsible for selling more than 2000 grams of heroin in Fond du lac with a street value of $350,000.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
