A Kewaskum man was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened Friday afternoon at CTH TC and CTH M. A preliminary investigation shows that a car was westbound on CTH TC when it failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the centerline, went off the road, striking a utility pole and fence. The driver and lone occupant, a 36-year-old Kewaskum man, was not wearing his seatbelt and was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries. Alcohol, speed and reckless driving appear to be factors in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
