The St. Peter Lions Club “Super Sub Sell Down,” held on Super Bowl Saturday (Feb. 3), teamed community grocers with Radio Plus talent and challenged each team to sell a sub sandwich the length of a football field first. The event was created over two decades ago as a novel way to raise funds and has since raised more than $92,000 for charitable causes. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
