Matthew Ford of Fond du Lac and Richard Schneider of Hartland both matched all six numbers in the Friday, March 30 SuperCash! drawing to each win the $350,000 top prize. Ford purchased his winning ticket at Speedway at 550 West Johnson Street in Fond du Lac. Schneider purchased his winning ticket at Pick ‘n Save at N65 W24838 Main Street in Sussex. When Schneider found out he won, he texted his kids to say “Happy Easter” and added “Oh yea, I won the Lottery”. Of course his kids thought it was an April Fools’ joke. Schneider has been playing the Lottery weekly for 30 years. He typically plays quick picks. Friday’s winning SuperCash! numbers were 6, 7, 13, 20, 25 and 38.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
