The Waupun School Board has selected a consulting firm to conduct the search for a new school district administrator. The Board has selected School Exec Connect to help recruit and select a replacement for Dr. Tonya Olson who is stepping down at the end of the school year. The firm will advertise the position, conduct a survey and use focus groups to create an administrator profile. The goal is to have a new administrator on board by the end of June. SEC consultants are two retired, long time Wisconsin school district administrators.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
