A Fond du Lac woman faces charges following a drug bust at a Fond du Lac residence. Assistant police chief Steve Thiry says law enforcement officers executed a search warrant Thursday night at a residence in the 300 block of East Second Street. Thiry says the Fond du Lac Police SWAT team was mobilized to assist in the execution of the warrant. Five subjects were located inside the residence and investigators seized cocaine and drug paraphernalia. No one was injured during this incident. A 36 year old Fond du Lac woman is currently in custody on charges of Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Possession with Intent to Deliver – Cocaine, and other miscellaneous drug charges.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
