Fond du Lac Public Works says Division Street between Marr Street and Amory Street is currently closed. The street will remain closed until the end of day Friday, April 26. The closure is in place to allow the water utility to make emergency repairs to the water main and restoration. Meanwhile, beginning Monday, April 29, East Division Street between Park Avenue and Everett Street will be closed through the end of the day Friday, May 3 for sanitary and water repairs.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
