A Fond du Lac woman is one of three lucky winners selected in the Wisconsin Lottery Powerball New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Experience. Vivian Gonzalez and a guest will attend this New Year’s Eve exclusive Powerball party in Times Square. Gonzalez will also have a one in 350 or better chance of being crowned 2020s first Powerball Millionaire of the Year. The winner of the $1 million prize will be drawn and announced minutes into the new year. The VIP experience include a performance at Radio City Music Hall, holiday Cruise on the Hudson River, hotel accommodations and an exclusive New Year’s Eve gala at the Crown Plaza Hotel.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
