6-13-19 governor evers re-creates state pardons board

todayJune 13, 2019

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Tony Evers has re-created Wisconsin’s state pardons board, fulfilling a campaign promise the Democrat made to once again consider granting pardons after Republican Scott Walker halted the process eight years ago. The move doesn’t require approval from the Republican-controlled Legislature that has mostly thwarted Evers’ agenda since he defeated Walker.
