todayJune 21, 2019

The longtime director of  The Arc of Fond du Lac is stepping down.  David Boelter has announced he is retiring effective July first.  Boelter has been with The ARC for 10 years.  “I’ve had the fortune to work with a great board, three great board presidents, some great employees, and the total support of the Fond du Lac community in terms of volunteerism and also very significant donor dollars to The Arc,”  Boelter told WFDL news.    In 2013 Boelter  led the ARC’s first ever capital campaign that raised over $1.6 million to pay for four new group homes, a respite house and extensive renovations at its North Park Avenue headquarters.  In subsequent years, an additional $1 million was raised to expand Day Services and the Youth area of the building.   A public  retirement open house  celebration is planned for July 18 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center.    Those planning to attend should RSVP  The Arc by July 12.
