Thursday’s fatal crash in Fond du Lac County marks the seventh and eighth traffic fatalities of the year in the county and the third involving alcohol. Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says two Fond du Lac men were killed when their car struck a utility pole on Highway D, near Highway 151. The victims identified as the driver, 28 year old Louis Bradbury and passenger 24 year old Vincent Eastham. Tadych says the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the pole broadside and split in half.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
