Three additional men have been charged in Green Lake County bringing to nine the number of men charged in a sex trafficking ring. The three men made their initial court appearances Tuesday. Six people were arrested and charged last month in Green Lake County for sex trafficking. The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office says they received a 911 call Nov. 28 from a juvenile who said she had escaped from a residence where she was being sex trafficked. Police executed a search warrant W2964 County Line Road in Manchester, Wisconsin, where they seized multiple items of evidence believed to be connected to the assault of the juvenile. The warrant also led to the arrest of six people who all lived in the home. Police say they believe all of the suspects are undocumented immigrants from Guatemala. The suspects have made initial court appearances and are being held at the Green Lake County Jail. The incident remains under investigation by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigations.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
