A person of interest has been arrested in connection with a reported drive-by shooting in Fond du Lac over the weekend. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says the incident happened early Saturday morning in the 100 block of Harrison Place. “The investigation is ongoing and active at this point. A person of interest is being held on a probation hold while the investigation is continuing,” Klein told WFDL news. ” At this point we are not looking for any additional persons of interest or suspects in this case.” Klein says a witness told officers a passenger in a car fired two shots toward a residence on Harrison Place after an argument with another man.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
