A new AAA survey shows self-driving cars are stuck in neutral on the road to acceptance. The survey finds that only one in ten drivers would trust riding in a self-driving vehicle. State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says the survey found 28 percent of Americans don’t know how they feel about the technology. Six in ten Americans say they would like to have a clear understanding of who will be legally responsible in the event of a crash with a self-driving vehicle. Jarmuscz says more than 70 percent of adults say they would feel safer riding in a self driving car if they had the ability to take over control if something goes wrong.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
