Demand destruction reigns supreme as gas prices continue to plunge across Wisconsin and the nation. State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz Wisconsin has the lowest gas prices in the country. Jarmuscz says the dramatic drop in prices over the last seven weeks has been historic. Jarmuscz says there is a possibility we could see the average price for gas drop to below a dollar gallon. Jarmuscz says there are already some locations where the price of gas is below a dollar a gallon. The price drop is fueled by a dramatic drop in demand and builds in gasoline inventories and crude storage.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
