This year’s Country USA and Rock USA music festivals in Oshkosh are being cancelled. Event organizers say the safety of the entire festival and local community comes first and are cancelling both events on the advice of the Winnebago County Public Health Department. Meanwhile, The Fond du Lac Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts has announced that concerts are returning this month. Thelma director Jacqui Corsi says the 11 Thursdays of Summer Concert Series will kick off June 25. Corsi says the concerts will be held safely and responsibly with capacity limited to 250 people.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
