Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam is updating it’s visitor policy to allow a limited number of visitors to enter the clinic health system during the coronavirus pandemic. Hospital adult patients are now allowed one visitor per day. One support person is allowed for Emergency, Urgent Care and walk-in department patients, OB Labor and Delivery, and adult patients with clinic appointments. Both parents can be with a child for pediatric clinic appointments. No visitors are allowed for adult COVID patients.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
