The Fond du Lac School District will again be offering a half-day, 4 year-old-kindergarten experience next fall. Children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1 are eligible to attend. Currently there are classrooms at Chegwin, Evans, Pier, Parkside, Riverside, Rosenow, and Waters Elementary Schools. Programs will also be offered at several community partner sites without cost. Virtual information sessions will be held next week.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
