Two people were injured, one seriously in a two vehicle crash in Dodge County. The crash happened Wednesday morning on County Highway A at the intersection with state Highway 151. A preliminary investigation shows that a car failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a pickup truck. The 81 year old car driver was flown by helicopter to the hospital with serious injuries. The 21 year old driver of the pickup truck received minor injuries.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
