One person was seriously injured in an alcohol-related car versus motorcycle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened shortly after 10pm Thursday on Highway 151 at County Highway AS. A preliminary investigation shows a car pulled out from a stop sign in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle operator, a 39 year old Horicon man, was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The car driver, a 49 year old Brandon woman, received minor injuries. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says the motorcycle operator faces OWI charges, and the driver of the car failed to yield the right of way. Northbound 151 was closed for about five hours following the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
