A Beaver Dam woman has been convicted in a drug overdose death. Forty year old Jackie Meyer pled guilty to First Degree Reckless Homicide for supplying the drugs that caused the overdose of Karen Sadowski. Meyer also pled guilty to Operating While Impaired with a Minor Child in the Vehicle. A sentencing hearing has been set for November 1, 2019.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
