The Cathedral Church of Saint Paul in Fond du Lac is hosting a Community Worship Service celebrating Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this weekend. The celebration will be held at 2pm Sunday, on MLK’s birthday. Representatives from churches throughout Fond du Lac will be participating in this ecumenical worship service. The sermon is being given by Rev. Mary Council-Austin. The general public is invited to attend this free event.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
