A public information meeting to present the new design for the Lakeside Park West Pedestrian Bridge will be held next week. The city and it’s consultant are looking for community feedback on the new bridge design. Construction is currently planned for this year and will connect Lakeside Park East and Lakeside Park West. The meeting will be Thursday, January 26, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lakeside Park Pavilion. The Consultant will give a brief presentation at the start of the meeting.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
