An Eden man arrested for setting several wildfires in Fond du Lac County has been charged. Daniel Enright is charged with five counts of setting fire to another’s land and two counts of arson of property. According to a criminal complaint Enright told investigators he set the fires to relieve stress which included the birth of his child three years ago and set another fire after arguing with his fiancée. The charges carry a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
