todayMay 10, 2023

Fond du Lac resident Ellen Kant is the grand prize winner of the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation’s Samaritan Cash Raffle.  Kant says she was listening to Sunny 97.7 FM Wednesday as  her name was randomly drawn for the $50,000 cash prize.  Kant says it was very exciting and says she couldn’t believe it when her name was called.   Kant says she has bought cash raffle tickets in the past to support the Samaritan Clinic.  Kant says at this point she’s not sure what she’s going to do with the money.  The SSM Health Samaritan Clinic provides health care to around 500 underinsured patients annually.  More than 4,000 tickets were sold in this year’s raffle with the cash raffle raising approximately  $120,000.    “We are very fortunate to live in a community where we completely support one another – whenever, or wherever a need develops,” says Shawn Fisher, Agnesian HealthCare Foundation executive director. “I hear firsthand how patients and families benefit from the care provided through the Samaritan Clinic. With the community’s continued support, we can ensure that the present and future health care needs of our community are being met and exceeded.”
