The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has identified a motorcycle operator who was critically injured in a crash over the weekend. The Sheriff’s Office says 76 year old Ronald Magyar of Hustisford was flown by helicopter to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle struck a road construction barrier Saturday afternoon on County Highway E near Perch Road. He was not wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
