SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital, through its Mission Action Team, is sponsoring a free community rummage for individuals and families within the Waupun community. The sale is scheduled from 8 am – 4 pm on Wednesday, August 23, and from 8 am – 2 pm on Thursday, August 24 in the hospital’s Marsh Conference Room (lower level), 620 W. Brown Street in Waupun. It will feature gently-used clothing for all ages and sizes, backpacks, coats/winter gear, shoes, purses/wallets, and blankets/linens. Just in time for back to school. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
