The Fond du Lac Area United Way has reached it’s fundraising goal. United Way executive director Amber Kilawee says the fund drive has topped the goal of $575,000. “We are so fortunate to have a resource-fortunate community, and it’s really because of the donors and the folks that believe in the health and human service network, ” Kilawee told WFDL news.” This year’s pacesetter was the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
