Governor Tony Evers is recognizing Waupun. Mayor Rohn Bishop says the governor recently presented the city with a letter of recognition as a vibrant art community for it’s public sculptures. Bishop says he loves how the community has rallied around Clarence Shaler and his legacy. Bishop says Waupun is Wisconsin’s Sculpture city. March 20th is Waupun’s birthday. This year Waupun will turn 185.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
