10-30-24 eldorado woman seriously injured in one vehicle crash

An elderly woman was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened at about 7:30pm Tuesday on Ridge Road at Lincoln Road. The vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and went into a ditch, striking an embankment. The driver, an 82 year old Eldorado woman, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

10-30-24 enrollment inches upward in universities of wisconsin system

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Overall enrollment in the Universities of Wisconsin system's four-year schools ticked upward this fall compared with last year, data released Tuesday shows.  The system released enrollment numbers as of the 10th day of the 2024 fall semester. 10-30-24 fdl county highway crews wrapping up work on construction projects

10-30-24 fdl school board approves budget, tax levy

The Fond du Lac School Board has adopted a budget with an operations referendum on the table to deal with a looming $5.2 million deficit next year.   Chief of Finance and Operations Mike Gerlach says the good news is the District is receiving more money from the state.  Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says the main factors behind the deficit are declining enrollment and expiration of federal COVID stimulus funds.  The tax […]

10-29-24 bomb threat at fdl stem academy unfounded

Police say a bomb threat written in a bathroom at the Fond du Lac STEM Academy turned out to be unfounded.  Early Monday afternoon police officers were called to the school on South Military Road after a student reported the threat to a school custodian.  The school was evacuated while a search of the school was conducted.  Two searches of the building found no suspicious circumstances.   Two K9 bomb-sniffing units from Outagamie County also […]
