10-24-24 firefighters respond to fire at fdl auto shop

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a Fond du Lac auto shop.  Shortly before midnight Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on North Military Road to find smoke showing from the garage doors of the auto shop that was attached to other businesses.  The auto shop and its contents were destroyed.  Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

10-24-24 town of forest house fire investigation

Investigators say nothing has been ruled out following a fire that destroyed a house and several nearby structures in Fond du Lac County.  Sheriff's captain Chris Randall says the early Tuesday morning fire destroyed the 6,000 square foot home on Draeger Lane in the town of Forest, spreading to other nearby buildings.  Randall says the cause of the fire remains under investigation and says nothing has been ruled out when asked if […]

10-24-24 fdl county barn fire

Firefighters were able to extinguish a fire in a woodpile before it caused extensive damage to a barn. A passing motorist reported the fire Tuesday night at the Ken Gudex farm on Highway 67. The owner said he had a controlled burn  earlier but it must have rekindled in the wood pile.
