10-18-24 wisconsin unemployment rate holds steady

Wisconsin's unemployment rate held steady last month.   Figures released by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development show the state unemployment rate was 2.9 percent in September, below the national rate of 4.1 percent.  Wisconsin's labor force increased by 6,700 over the month and 1,300 over the year.

Three people are in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt announced Wednesday that he will step down next summer as the school continues to struggle financially.  Leavitt has served as chancellor since 2014. 10-17-24 victim of fatal crash in dodge county identified

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a fatal two vehicle crash Saturday night in Dodge County.    According to the Sheriff's Office 45-year-old Jeremy Bock, of Palmyra, was killed when his car struck a parked vehicle on County Highway G near Canary Road.  A preliminary investigation shows the car was southbound on G when it left the road, continued onto a private driveway, striking an unoccupied vehicle  and a tree.  The […]

10-17-24 salmonella outbreak-the latest

The FDA has upgraded it's previous recall of eggs linked to salmonella to warn consumers of serious reactions and possibly death if eaten.  The recall was originally announced September 6th by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and was upgraded September 30 to a product that "will cause serious adverse health consequences or death."  At least 65 people in nine states have been infected including 42 people in Wisconsin.  Fond […]
