10-14-24 palmyra man dies when vehicle strikes parked car in dodge county

One person was killed when his car struck a parked vehicle in Dodge County. The crash happened shortly after 8:30 pm Saturday on County Highway G near Canary Road. A preliminary investigation shows a car was southbound on G when it left the road, continued onto a private driveway, striking an unoccupied vehicle and a tree. The driver, a 45 year old Palmyra man, was pronounced dead at the scene. […]

10-14-24 farm implement fire-fdl county

Nobody was injured in a farm implement fire in Fond du Lac County. Shortly before 9pm Friday firefighters were called to the scene on Lone Elm Road to find a John Deere harvester fully engulfed in flames. The harvester was destroyed and a nearby tractor received minor damage. The fire is not considered suspicious.

10-14-24 deer poaching ring

Three Campbellsport teenagers and a Campbellsport woman face multiple charges in a multi-county deer poaching ring.    Investigators say well over 100 deer were shot and or killed between late spring of 2023 and July of this year in southeastern Fond du Lac, northern Washington and northeastern Dodge counties.  Suspects include three 16 year old Campbellsport boys and a 36 year old Campbellsport woman.  Investigators say the alleged crimes occured in a 200 square mile […]

10-14-24 fdl fire and rescue lieutenant assists in hurricane relief effort

A Fond du Lac Fire Lieutenant has returned home after assisting  and searching for victims following Hurricane Helene.  Lieutenant Shawn Kneeland was part of Wisconsin's 16 member Urban Search and Rescue Task Force known as Wisconsin Task Force 1.   Kneeland says the unit was stationed in North Carolina about 45 minutes west of Ashville.   Kneeland says the Task Force's mission was to search for people still missing... close to 15 hundred people […]

The second Fondy Falltoberfest was held Saturday at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac.  The event was held on Oven and Softball Islands at the park.  In addition to food and beverages the family-friendly festival featured a number of activities including pumpkin painting, costume contests, horse-drawn carriage rides and music.
